Simulation of Single-File Pedestrian Flow under High-Density Condition by a Modified Social Force Model

چکیده
In this paper, a new modified social force model is proposed to simulate the single-file pedestrian flow at high densities. Since pedestrians could only follow preceding person in flow, way which chooses their destination changed. It set as current position of pedestrian, rather than one fixed location. order possible movement densities, distance for calculating forces between was reset, and obstacles were divided into many particles. Next, values parameters ranges discussed. Furthermore, data from large-scale experiment used validations. The simulation results fundamental diagrams, spatiotemporal diagrams time–headway distributions show that can well. angular trajectories help understanding more about results. comparisons statistical local rates densities that, most cases, simulated experimental are quantitatively similar. This be good choice high-density simulations flow.

Simulation of High Density Pedestrian Flow: A Microscopic Model
In recent years, modelling crowd and evacuation dynamics has become very important, with increasing huge numbers of people gathering around the world for many reasons and events. The fact that our global population grows dramatically every year and the current public transport systems are able to transport large amounts of people heightens the risk of crowd panic or crush. Pedestrian models are...
متن کاملSimulation of the Pedestrian Flow in the Tawaf Area Using the Social Force Model
In today’s modern world, the number of vehicles is increasing on the road. This causes more people to choose walking instead of traveling using vehicles. Thus, proper planning of pedestrians’ paths is important to ensure the safety of pedestrians in a walking area. Crowd dynamics study the pedestrians’ behavior and modeling pedestrians’ movement to ensure safety in their walking paths. To date,...
متن کاملA modified optimal stomatal conductance model under water-stressed condition
Accurate estimation of leaf stomatal conductance (gs) is important in predicting carbon andwater cycles of terrestrial ecosystem. To estimate gs on field-grown soybean and maize underwater-stressed condition accurately, a modified optimal stomatal conductance (OSCM) modelwas established based on the relationship between marginal water cost of carbon gain and soilwater content by introducing a w...
متن کاملSocial force model for pedestrian dynamics.
It is suggested that the motion of pedestrians can be described as if they would be subject to ‘social forces’. These ‘forces’ are not directly exerted by the pedestrians’ personal environment, but they are a measure for the internal motivations of the individuals to perform certain actions (movements). The corresponding force concept is discussed in more detail and can be also applied to the d...
متن کاملPedestrian Flow at Bottlenecks - Validation and Calibration of Vissim's Social Force Model of Pedestrian Traffic and its Empirical Foundations
In this contribution first results of experiments on pedestrian flow through bottlenecks are presented and then compared to simulation results obtained with the Social Force Model in the Vissim simulation framework. Concerning the experiments it is argued that the basic dependence between flow and bottleneck width is not a step function but that it is linear and modified by the effect of a psyc...
